Current Opportunities

Technical Consultant

Solihull / Hybrid / Remote

APHC is recruiting an experienced Technical Consultant to work closely with our CEO, to support and shape the future of policy, certification, and professional standards across the sector.

In this influential role, you’ll provide expert technical leadership to our field-based assessment team, contribute to national education and training strategies, and deliver trusted, up-to-date guidance to our members.

You’ll be at the heart of APHC’s work, engaging directly with contractors, validating certification decisions, investigating technical complaints, and playing a key role in developing industry-leading training content, guidance documents, and communications.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

·       Recognised qualification in plumbing, heating, gas or building services
·       Current relevant technical knowledge
·       Desirable to also hold an Assessor, IQA, or teaching qualification
·       Experience of installation and maintenance
·       Understand the needs of contractors in running businesses
·       Understand the requirements of industry standards and schemes
·       Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
·       Able to work as part of a team with both office and field-based staff.

Salary To ÂŁ55,000 plus a car allowance
