The Boiler Upgrade scheme, an installer’s perspective – what we know so far

Our Deputy CEO, Graeme Dryden, will be discussing what’s needed from an installer’s perspective to make for a successful grant funding scheme.
In 2021 BEIS announced the introduction of a new grant funding scheme to be launched in Spring 2022 as a primer to support the transition to net zero. An OFGEM consultation has been taking place in recent weeks which focuses on proposals for how the grant funding scheme will work.
• What is the boiler upgrade scheme?
• Learning from the past, the installer experience of Green Homes Grant.
• What are the proposals around administration of the scheme?
– Proposed eligible technologies and their requirements (location, heat capacities)
– Property types that could be eligible (insulation, existing systems, custom-build, social housing)
– Proposals for making grant applications
• Want to get involved, next steps for your business.
